filled with baking, laughter and plenty of
tasty Valentine’s Day treats. Mom, dad,
grandparent or special adult along with
their kids will have a wonderfully sweet
time creating yummy cookies, whoopie
pies and chocolate-dipped hearts. Plus,
the instructor will share decorating tips
and teach attendees how to make delicious
cream cheese frosting!

2. Daddy-Daughter Valentine Dance

Come out for a magical evening at Marshall
Road Elementary for the Daddy-Daughter
Valentine Dance! Girls (ages 3-6th grade)
and dads, granddads, big brothers and/or
godfathers get ready to dress to impress.
There will be a special fairytale guest,
tons of dancing, prizes and good food!
Proceeds from this fundraising event will
fund Vienna-area elementary school library
donations and college scholarships for
Vienna-area high school students.

Asian languages and fold heart-shaped

says “love” like a hand-made pre-shrunk valentine. Families
are invited to create beautiful jewelry, key chains and other
Valentine’s Day gifts for their loved ones. Children will receive
their first two sheets of blank Shrinky Dinks free.
11. 25th Anniversary Floris UMC Chocolate Festival

If your child loves animals, then he or she will love celebrating at
Hidden Oaks Nature Center. Kids get to play musical valentines
and critter sweetheart games as they learn how animals find a
mate. Other activities include meeting live animals and making
animal valentine crafts.
14. Family Day - Chocolate and the USMC in
Triangle Feb. 13, 12-3 p.m.
National Museum of the Marine Corps, 18900 Jefferson Davis

Learn how the Tootsie Roll came to the rescue of Marines during
the Korean War and other uses of chocolate by U.S. Marines. The
event includes wonderful performances as well!
